Colorado GOP melt down & presidential turnout not helping Coffman
This week national Republicans showed how nervous they are about Mike Coffman’s reelection chances by putting him on their list of most vulnerable members. The fact that he is known as one of the most gaffe prone people in Congress, is unable to clearly deliver a message, and is tied to the Republican presidential primary all put him in a tough spot.
“As long as Congressman Coffman continues to produce offensive and out-of-touch statements that make him look like a member of the Republican presidential primary circus, he’s going to be vulnerable in this swing district,” said DCCC Spokesman Tyler Law.
Keep in mind that Coffman literally had to pay notorious homophobe and presidential candidate Ben Carson $15,000 dollars so people would show up to his event last cycle. Combined with the Colorado Republican Party being in shambles, and Coffman is in a vulnerable spot.
But hey, don’t take our word for it. The NRCC just put Coffman on their most vulnerable list.
