Mike France and George Logan: Lockstep with the GOP’s Extremist ‘Dream Team’

Congressional GOP candidates Mike France (CT-02) and George Logan (CT-05) have yet again brought toxic GOP politics back to Connecticut, this time with a fundraiser headlined by hardcore MAGA extremist Rep. Lloyd Smucker (PA-11).

Smucker and House GOP leaders are preparing to gut Social Security and Medicare. Getting Logan and France elected is key to the majority that Republicans need to pull this off.

Smucker has indicated he wants to use the debt-limit deadline to try and make significant cuts to these programs – effectively holding the Full Faith and Credit of the U.S. government hostage in order to gut benefits for seniors.

Smucker also:

• Supports efforts to privatize Social Security.

• Voted against the Inflation Reduction Act, which will lower prescription drug prices and reduce premiums and out of pocket costs for Medicare recipients by $300 billion or more. If Republicans regain the majority in Congress, they have vowed to overturn this law.

• Is a leading anti-abortion rights voice in Congress, who called for the overturning of Roe v. Wade and supports a national ban on abortion.

• Is unwaveringly loyal to Donald Trump, and collaborated with his efforts to overturn the results of the 2020 Election based on unfounded conspiracy theories.
