Poll after poll after poll has shown that the Big, Ugly Law is wildly unpopular because it rips health care and food assistance away from hardworking people to give GOP billionaires a tax break. The so-called Republican moderates admitted their bill was a disaster for Medicaid and rural hospitals, but they voted for it anyway.
When pressed on the unpopular provisions of the bill, Johnson responded: “I’m not buying that, polls can be manipulated.”
