Vulnerable and unserious New York Republican Mike Lawler proved yet again today that he’s not just bad at legislating – he doesn’t actually care about fixing the chaos in his own party’s majority and getting Congress back to work in order to deliver for Lower Hudson Valley families.
Recent audio acquired by New York Playbook caught Lawler on tape this weekend saying he was open to supporting Donald Trump-endorsed MAGA extremist Jim Jordan in the chaotic, ongoing GOP leadership fight. After being “tightlipped” about backing Jordan, Lawler sheepishly admitted and quite literally said: “I’ll probably just vote for him.”
Any chance he gets, Mike Lawler chooses to put the attention on himself and rack up TV appearances rather than focus on New York’s 17th Congressional District. Meanwhile, on the floor, he contributes to his own majority’s continued paralysis of the House of Representatives.
