It’s a day that ends in the letter “y,” which means that Mike Lawler is desperately looking for a new way to hide his toxic record from Hudson Valley voters.
After voting not once, but TWICE to slash Internal Revenue Service funding going directly towards customer service and operations support at local offices and keeping critical programs alive, Lawler is now scrambling to save face by sending a meaningless letter pretending he cares about keeping a local IRS office open.
Not only did Lawler advocate for cutting over $25 billion in funding that supports local offices and taxpayers, he also indicated that the bill didn’t go far enough.
DCCC Spokesperson Riya Vashi:
“Mike Lawler can’t rewrite history — he voted twice to gut funding that keeps local offices afloat and helps Hudson Valley families get their taxes filed on time. Now he’s scrambling to hide his toxic record with meaningless letters, but voters know the truth: Lawler is a fraud who prioritizes politics over his own constituents.” |
