Gas prices have surged 21.1% in the past month — the highest monthly gas price increases in recorded history.
Rather than addressing how Hudson Valley families are being squeezed from Trump’s wildly unpopular war with Iran, Lawler and Bessent downplayed rising costs and brushed off the real impacts working families are feeling.
REMINDER: This latest admission comes just days after Lawler dodged not once, but TWICE, on whether New Yorkers should tolerate gas prices above $4 and said gas price increases from the war with Iran were “absolutely worth it.”
DCCC Spokesperson Riya Vashi:
“Mike Lawler looked Hudson Valley families in the eye and stood by as his extremist allies called the largest gas price increase in history a ‘blip.’ Instead of making excuses for Trump’s failing economic agenda, Lawler should be fighting for the people he was elected to represent.”
