Mike Lawler Skips Town To Campaign With MAGA Buddy Jack Ciattarelli During Shutdown AGAIN

It’s déjà vu all over again for Mike Lawler’s constituents this weekend.

Tomorrow, over 200,000 New Yorkers will log on during open enrollment to see their health insurance premiums have skyrocketed and Republicans’ refusal to unlock SNAP benefits from reaching nearly 3 million New Yorkers will leave families hungry.

So where will their Congressman be?

Packing his bags – again – to join GOP gubernatorial candidate and fellow extremist Jack Ciattarelli on the campaign trail in New Jersey.

This marks the THIRD TIME that Lawler is bailing on his own constituents during the Republican shutdown to campaign for his MAGA buddy across the river.

Reminder: Lawler started a firm called Checkmate Strategies with Ciattarelli’s top political strategist and his longtime friend, Chris Russell. Recent reporting revealed that Lawler funneled over half a million dollars into the company using his own campaigns.

DCCC Spokesperson Riya Vashi:
“While New Yorkers are being squeezed from every angle, Mike Lawler is too busy chasing political clout in New Jersey to do his job. Instead of working to fix the health care crisis he created and reopen the government he helped shut down, Lawler is once again proving his only priorities are himself and Donald Trump’s MAGA allies.”
