| Mike Lawler continues to recklessly stand behind Donald Trump’s agenda, which is rapidly accelerating the affordability crisis in New York.
Earlier this month, Lawler told CNN that gas price increases from the war with Iran were “absolutely worth it.”
In New York alone, gas prices are now at $3.95 per gallon, and the national gas average just hit $4 per gallon, the highest since August of 2022.
The sharp rise in gas prices comes as everyday Americans are struggling to make ends meet as everything gets more expensive. A recent CBS News YouGov poll found that 53% of Americans say Trump is making people WORSE OFF financially. Even worse: 60% of Independents say Trump’s policies are making them WORSE OFF – up from 38% in October 2024.
DCCC Spokesperson Riya Vashi:
“Mike Lawler ran on the promise that he would make life more affordable, but hasn’t done a damn thing to lower prices. This crisis is on phony moderates like Lawler, who has completely refused to stand up for New Yorkers as prices continue to rise.
