Mike Lawler Wants to Hike Health Care Costs By 31% For Hudson Valley Families

Lawler is opting to steer the country towards a government shutdown instead of addressing the health care crisis he’s created

According to new analysis, Mike Lawler’s choice to flee Washington and not address the looming government shutdown is set to jack up health insurance premiums by 31% in the Hudson Valley alone — forcing hardworking families across the region to pay $2,500 more annually just to keep their health care coverage.

Across New York, Mike Lawler’s failure to address the health care crisis he’s created would result in:

  • Skyrocking health insurance premiums for over 140,000 New Yorkers.
  • Up to 80,000 New Yorkers losing health care coverage entirely.
  • Monthly costs increasing by nearly 40% for families who rely on ACA coverage.

Reminder: Mike Lawler JUST called for the repeal of the Affordable Care Act tax credits earlier this week.

DCCC Spokesperson Riya Vashi:
“Mike Lawler would rather play politics in Washington and jack up health care costs on his own constituents than stand up to his D.C. party bosses and protect the families he was elected to serve. New Yorkers will hold Lawler accountable for the health care crisis he has created come 2026.”
