Mike Lawler’s Constituents Are Already Starting to See Their Health Care Premiums Skyrocket for 2026

New York’s insurance marketplace is already showing price hikes for next year

Insurance companies are starting to reveal next year’s premium rates through New York’s insurance marketplace – and the price hikes are staggering because Mike Lawler and House Republicans have failed to extend ACA tax credits.

In NY-17, a couple could see their premiums jump from $498 a month to $1,613 a month — a $1,114 monthly increase for the same plan, all because Lawler refuses to act.

Reminder: Rather than negotiate to prevent New Yorkers’ health care costs from skyrocketing, Lawler chose to skip town instead. Lawler has also openly admitted that he wants to repeal the ACA tax credits, telling Fox Business he wants to “phase them out.
