Tomorrow, Vice President Mike Pence is going to be in Central Kentucky propping up vulnerable Rep. Andy Barr and trying to sell their GOP Tax Scam to Kentucky voters.
With Paul Ryan’s Super PAC already set up in the district and a recent public poll showing Barr trailing an unnamed Democrat, it’s pretty clear Barr is desperate enough to say just about anything.
Here is what Kentuckians need to know about the GOP Tax Scam that Vice President Pence and Rep. Andy Barr won’t tell them:
- 83 percent of the benefits from the GOP Tax Scam will go to the wealthiest Americans.
- The tax bill will add $1.5 trillion to the national debt.
- Kentuckians will see 19 percent higher health care premiums this year because of the GOP Tax Scam’s attacks on the Affordable Care Act.
- Now that they have blown up the deficit with their tax cuts, Washington Republicans have declared that they are planning to target Medicare and Medicaid to pay for it.
“Vice President Pence and Rep. Barr are selling a bill of goods with their tax scam that raises taxes and health care premiums on many middle class families in order to give the majority of the benefits to millionaires and large corporations,” said DCCC spokesperson Jacob Peters. “Like everything Andy Barr does in Congress, this bill was always about helping Wall Street and his special interest donors, not hardworking families.”
