As Iowa families brace for rising costs on everything from school supplies to prescription drugs, Mariannette Miller-Meeks, Ashley Hinson, and Zach Nunn are nowhere to be found — they are not standing up for the people they were elected to represent.
Why? Because Miller-Meeks, Hinson, and Nunn would have to explain why they’re failing to make life more affordable for hardworking Iowa families.
Making matters worse, Donald Trump is now threatening to impose 250% tariffs on pharmaceutical imports, a move expected to drastically increase the cost of essential medications — and Miller-Meeks, Hinson, and Nunn are standing by without objection.
Meanwhile, parents are starting back-to-school shopping early amid fears that tariffs will raise prices on supplies and the overwhelming majority of Americans are stressed about the rising cost of groceries.
As families scramble to get by, Miller-Meeks, Hinson, and Nunn’s big accomplishment was voting to rip away health care and food assistance from tens of thousands of their own constituents.
DCCC Spokesperson Katie Smith:
“Mariannette Miller-Meeks, Ashley Hinson, and Zach Nunn promised to lower costs — but they’ve done the opposite. Instead, they’re backing reckless tariffs, ignoring rising prices, and abandoning the hardworking families they were elected to serve.” |
