Yesterday, Donald Trump said he is open to restricting or banning birth control, saying when asked if he supports any restrictions on contraception: “We’re looking at that, and I’m going to have a policy on that very shortly, and I think it’s something that you’ll find interesting. I think it’s a smart decision. But we’ll be releasing it very soon.”
The Republican frontrunner for president has previously celebrated his “miracle” efforts to overturn Roe v. Wade and proposed a national abortion ban.
Mariannette Miller-Meeks won’t hesitate to restrict contraception and ban abortion. She has previously voted against legislation to protect access to contraception nationwide and has co-sponsored a nationwide abortion ban with no exceptions for rape, incest, or the woman’s life that could threaten some forms of contraception. In the state legislature, she voted for legislation that could threaten Iowans’ access to abortion, contraception, and IVF.
