Representing two of Florida’s veteran-heavy districts, Cory Mills and Anna Paulina Luna have abandoned their constituents following reporting that the Trump Administration will allow VA hospitals to refuse to treat some veterans in need of care.
New reporting by the Guardian revealed that this newest order eliminated the rule requiring VA doctors to treat veterans regardless of their political affiliations or marital status.
According to the U.S. Census Bureau, over 55,000 people in Anna Paulina Luna’s district and over 50,000 people in Cory Mills’ district are veterans.
Cory Mills and Anna Paulina Luna have refused to lift a finger as thousands of their constituents may lose the health care they were promised when they put their lives on the line for our country.
DCCC Spokesperson Madison Andrus:
“Cory Mills and Anna Paulina Luna’s willingness to abandon Florida’s veterans for partisan politics is despicable. When our veterans were defending our country, it didn’t matter what party they belonged to or if they were married – the only thing that mattered was serving their country. Our veterans deserve representatives that won’t leave them out to dry.”
