Molinaro Runs Scared From Questions on SCOTUS Allowing More Guns in New York’s Streets

New study finds concealed-carry laws boost gun crimes by a third

Marc Molinaro has been running scared from answering questions on the Supreme Court putting New Yorkers in danger after striking down a century-old New York law that restricted the carrying of concealed firearms.

“Dutchess County Executive Marc Molinaro, a Republican who is Ryan’s opponent for the 19th Congressional District in the upcoming August special election, did not respond to phone calls and emails requesting a reaction to Thursday’s Supreme Court decision.”

“Molinaro also did not respond directly recently, when asked whether he supports an assault weapons ban in the wake of the May 24 Robb Elementary School shooting in Uvalde, Texas, that left 19 students and two teachers dead. Ryan has expressed support for the banning of assault weapons.”

new study finds that concealed-carry laws actually lead to a boost in gun crime, particularly by elevating gun theft by roughly 35%. And top New York police officials are worried the ruling will turn the state into the “Wild East.”

Why is Marc refusing to say anything about this ruling as New Yorkers rightfully worry more for their safety?

DCCC Spokesperson Nebeyatt Betre:
“Marc is more concerned about his vulnerable political career than the lives of New Yorkers. His cowardly silence on this life-threatening ruling speaks volumes.”
