Last night, Congressman Ryan Mackenzie was pressed by his constituents on a telephone town hall to answer why he supports a cost-spiking war of choice in Iran. How did Mackenzie respond? He was too cowardly to answer.
The Morning Call reports that “Mackenzie did not directly address his stance on the Iran war in his response” to an angry constituent.
Constituent: “Honestly, I’d like to know your stance on this, especially when I’m a senior citizen, and I’m being told that our reserve funds, used to pay full retirement benefits for Social Security, will be depleted by 2032. So, we have many, many senior citizens that are doing without many things, and can barely stay in their homes. So, how can we justify spending $87 billion on a war that, frankly, I don’t think has really accomplished much of anything?”
Ryan Mackenzie: ***Does not address the question***
Just hours after dodging the question Mackenzie today once again voted to support the price-hiking war in Iran – the 5th time he has voted in favor.
Mackenzie knows his votes in favor of raising prices are unpopular. That’s why he was caught red handed scrubbing his website and “wiped out mentions of the word ‘war’” entirely.
DCCC Spokesperson Eli Cousin:
“Ryan Mackenzie has no answer for his constituents on why he is supporting a cost-spiking war of choice in Iran because even he knows his record is indefensible. He is a career politician who lied to Lehigh Valley families in order to get elected, and in November he will have to answer to voters at the ballot box for unleashing higher prices on his own community.”
