In case you missed it, Tom Barrett was called out in a series of fact checks for his hateful and deceptive fundraising solicitation that falsely told people their child’s “Gender Reassignment Surgery” had been confirmed. According to reports from WDIV, Barrett’s desperate efforts to raise money “rais[ed] the eyebrows of doctors, who worry that using vulnerable kids for political, partisan ends just like this one could have unintended and harmful consequences.”
Despite the scrutiny from multiple national and Michigan press outlets, Barrett still hasn’t had the guts to come out and defend his campaign’s despicable lies to Michigan families.
Barrett is no stranger to getting fact-checked by the local press for sinking to record lows to raise a buck. After having a lackluster quarter and falling short of his own fundraising goals, Barrett came under scrutiny for sending fundraising solicitations lying that Congresswoman Elissa Slotkin “thinks veterans are cowards” despite the fact that Slotkin served three tours in Iraq as a CIA officer and in intelligence and defense positions under Democratic and Republican presidents.
