NC-13 Republican Files to Run in 2024 – But It’s Not Bo Hines

2nd place GOP primary finisher DeVan Barbour files to run in NC-13 in 2024, raising questions about local Republican support for nominee Bo Hines

Bo Hines hasn’t even lost the election in NC-13 yet, and Republicans are already lining up to file to run in 2024 – a clear sign that Hines doesn’t have the confidence of local Republicans in North Carolina.

DeVan Barbour, second-place finisher in the NC-13 Republican primary in May, has filed to run for Congress in 2024. During the primary, Bo Hines made multiple headlines for failing to earn the support of local Republicans – and it seems Hines hasn’t won them over since winning the nomination.

“Bo Hines isn’t even dead yet and local Republicans are already recruiting to run a different candidate in 2024,” said DCCC spokesperson Monica Robinson. “That should tell you all you need to know about the weakness of Bo Hines’s candidacy.”
