According to a new analysis by the nonpartisan Congressional Budget Office, approximately 14,000 more people in Texas’ 15th Congressional District are at risk of losing their health insurance due to Monica De La Cruz and House Republicans’ Tax Scam bill.
These updated numbers mean that nearly 70,000 of De La Cruz’s own constituents are set to lose their Medicaid coverage so that she can fund tax breaks for the wealthiest people in the country.
Monica De La Cruz previously admitted that Medicaid cuts would have a disproportionate impact on her communities, only to then turn around and cast the deciding vote to gut Medicaid funding by nearly $800 billion.

“Monica De La Cruz has once again put party loyalty above her constituents. After admitting that Republicans’ cuts to Medicaid would devastate working families in her district, she voted for them anyway. Monica De La Cruz is not putting the people of Texas’ 15th Congressional District first.”
