NEW: Anna Paulina Luna Continues Cozying Up to Alleged Domestic Abuser Max Miller

Despite harrowing reports of Congressman Max Miller’s alleged domestic abuse, Anna Paulina Luna is not backing away from her association with him.

After allegations surfaced in August, Luna rushed to Miller’s defense, saying she did “not know Max to be a violent person and have only ever found him to be incredibly kind and honorable.” She continued actively fundraising with him, and has taken thousands from his leadership PAC for her campaigns.

The following week, reporting on House Republicans’ refusal to return Miller’s campaign cash listed Luna among those who “continue[d] to rally around Miller… [recently filing] a new joint fundraising committee with the FEC.”

Rather than calling for accountability over a repeated pattern of abuse and violence in Congress, Luna chose to defend her donor and was personally shouted out by Miller this week in his sham attempt to appeal to women.

Meanwhile, retired Army Brigadier General Leela Gray is holding Luna to account, calling out the hypocrisy of their ties. On MS NOW, she said:

“You can’t say you’re against misconduct and then be having a joint fundraising agreement with Max Miller. That is egregious. That is very egregious. He is allegedly accused of domestic abuse for his wife and their child. The fact that she’s bragging about going after misconduct, but yet she’s cozied up to Max Miller. That is just what I would call sloppy work, very sloppy work.”

DCCC Spokesperson Anna Elsasser:
“Anna Paulina Luna has made her support for Max Miller, a man credibly accused of physically abusing his wife and two-year-old daughter, loud and clear. Voters of FL-13 deserve real leadership, and the highest standards of ethical conduct. They have a better choice in Leela Gray, driven by a life of service.”
