NEW: Anti-Abortion Group and Top GOP Donors Urge House Republicans to Roll Back Women’s Freedoms

One of the leading anti-choice groups in the country, Susan B. Anthony (SBA) List, is reportedly urging House Republicans to continue passing anti-abortion legislation that prevents women from making decisions about their own bodies. As a reminder, SBA endorsed the House Republicans’ “Commitment to America” agenda before the 2022 midterms, after Republicans signaled they will push for a nationwide abortion ban.

Last week, House Republicans voted to pass anti-choice legislation that could imprison doctors and is “chock-full of misinformation and creates more barriers to care.” Between House Republicans’ anti-abortion votes in the 118th Congress, their votes against protecting abortion rights in the 117th Congress, and one of their most consistent donors demanding they push for more anti-choice legislation – it’s clear that House Republicans will not slow their war on women’s freedoms.
