In a radio interview yesterday, Kevin Coughlin called the GOP Tax Scam that jeopardizes health care for more than 31,500 Northeast Ohioans “a win,” before suggesting that the bill could have made *even more* cuts.
Earned benefits-cutting enthusiast Coughlin said the bill was “not everything that you want” but that there will be another “opportunity to get another win down the road” – echoing other Washington Republicans who are eyeing even more cuts to health care in order to pay for tax breaks for billionaires.
Listen for yourself:
HOST: “What are your thoughts on the ‘Big, Beautiful Bill’? Do the benefits outweigh the cons?”
COUGHLIN: “It’s not, it’s not everything that you want, it’s not the win that everyone wants, but it is a win. […] And then there will be an opportunity to get another opportunity to get another win down the road. So I would say to my friends in DC, take the win, take the win and move on.”
