NEW – Career Politician Ryan Mackenzie on Rising Energy Costs: “I don’t know exactly how much it’s gone up, but it’s more than I want to pay”

Mackenzie voted for legislation that will spike the cost of electricity as Lehigh Valley residents struggle with skyrocketing bills

In a new interview published today in Bloomberg, career politician Congressman Ryan Mackenzie shows just how wildly out of touch he is by complaining about energy prices that have skyrocketed under his own failed leadership.

When asked about skyrocketing electricity bills impacting his community, Mackenzie said: “I don’t know exactly how much it’s gone up, but it’s more than I want to pay.”

Not only does Mackenzie admit that he doesn’t know how much electricity bills are soaring, but he also whines about having to pay more because of his own policies.

After Mackenzie voted to slash energy tax credits and spike electricity rates, WFMZ reported that Allentown residents “say they’re feeling the sticker shock,” with some families even forced to “cut back on groceries so they could keep the heat on in their house.”

DCCC Spokesperson Eli Cousin:
“Career politician Ryan Mackenzie is so out of touch that he’s whining about how much utility bills have skyrocketed under his own cost-spiking policies. He campaigned on a phony promise to lower costs, but has instead unleashed skyrocketing energy prices on Lehigh Valley families.”
