Today, new reporting from Colorado Newsline identifies Colorado 8th congressional candidate Barbara Kirkmeyer as holding “what is among one of the most extreme stances on climate of any 2022 candidate.”
According to the report, Kirkmeyer “flatly rejects the science of human-caused global warming” while pushing debunked climate change conspiracy theories and promoting disgraced climate-change deniers in a dangerous effort to deny the real and present threat Coloradans face.
As she denies the reality of climate change, Kirkmeyer also seeks to dismantle the Environmental Protection Agency at a time when Colorado is only witnessing the threat of climate change increase. Addressing wildfires has become a dominant concern for Colorado elected officials and residents alike.
