NEW: CO-07 Republican Nominee Tied with Q-Anon, White Nationalists

A new report from the Colorado Times Recorder reveals Erik Aadland, Republican nominee in CO-07, believes the arrest of Proud Boys following the January 6th insurrection was “leftist censorship.”

Last week, the House Select Committee to investigate the January 6th attack on our Capitol revealed that far-right groups like the Proud Boys played a role in the comprehensive plan to overthrow the 2020 presidential election. Aadland has repeatedly stated the 2020 presidential election was “rigged.”

Aadland not only expresses sympathy for these individuals, but engages with Proud Boys, antisemitic QAnon conspiracists and white supremacists on social media. As the Times Recorder reports, Aadland’s profile on the far-right social media platform Parler follows election conspiracists and figures designated by the FBI as ‘domestic terrorism threats.’

DCCC spokesperson Maddy Mundy:
“Through his far-right conspiracy, Erik Aadland consistently undermines the very democratic institutions he seeks to represent. Colorado voters will reject Aadland’s disgraceful embrace of violent groups hellbent on attacking Americans’ sacred vote.”
