NEW DATA: 55,200 Missourians Drop ACA Coverage Thanks to Ann Wagner

Wagner refused to extend tax credits that lower health care costs

Roughly 55,200 fewer Missourians signed up for Affordable Care Act coverage this year after Ann Wagner and her Republican colleagues failed to extend crucial tax credits that lower premiums, new federal data shows.

Last week, Wagner REFUSED to join a bipartisan push to extend the credits and save Missourians thousands of dollars a year. KFF estimates that a 60-year-old couple in Wagner’s district could be paying 246% MORE for the same health care plan in 2026 compared to last year without the ACA tax credits.

Wagner has spent the past year gutting Missourians’ health care to pay for tax breaks for billionaires. Her disastrous record includes:

DCCC Spokesperson Lindsay Reilly:
“Ann Wagner has no problem raising Missourians’ health care costs if that means her billionaire buddies get a tax break. Voters will remember Wagner’s betrayal at the ballot box next year.”
