Crane refused to extend tax credits that lower health care costs
Roughly 70,000 fewer Arizonans signed up for Affordable Care Act coverage this year after Eli Crane and his Republican colleagues failed to extend crucial tax credits that lower premiums, new federal data shows.
Last week, Crane REFUSED to join a bipartisan push to extend the credits for three years – even though his constituents will be among the hardest hit by skyrocketing ACA premiums. KFF estimates that a 60-year-old couple in Crane’s district could be paying 416% MORE for the same health care plan in 2026 compared to last year without the ACA tax credits.
Crane has spent the past year gutting Arizonans’ health care to pay for tax breaks for billionaires. His disastrous record includes:
Voting for the largest cuts to Medicaid in history – despite nearly 1 in 3 Arizonans in his district depending on the program
DCCC Spokesperson Lindsay Reilly: “Eli Crane has no problem raising Arizonans’ health care costs if that means his billionaire buddies get a tax break. Voters will remember Crane’s betrayal at the ballot box next year.”
