NEW DATA: Virginians Are Paying $170 More for Electricity Thanks to Wittman, Kiggans, and McGuire

New data released this week proves that House Republicans’ reckless policies are spiking energy costs on Virginia families – and Rob Wittman, Jen Kiggans, and John McGuire are to blame.

Under total GOP control of Washington, Virginians paid $170 more on electricity in 2025 – a nearly 10% jump from 2024.

Let’s not forget: Wittman, Kiggans, and McGuire fell in line to vote for the Big, Ugly Law that made Virginia’s energy affordability crisis even worse. The extreme GOP bill is expected to cost Americans $170 billion more in increased energy bills over the next ten years.

Is it any surprise that even their fellow House Republicans are admitting that “no one thinks we’re keeping the majority” in November?

DCCC Spokesperson Eli Cousin:
“Rob Wittman, Jen Kiggans, and John McGuire ran on a pledge to slash energy costs and deliver real relief for working families – yet at every turn, they’ve voted to do the exact opposite. Virginians won’t forget this betrayal, and will kick them all out in November.”
