NEW: David Schweikert Named Fifteenth Most Vulnerable Member of U.S. House of Representatives

David Schweikert – who represents a district President Biden won in 2020 – was named the fifteenth most endangered Member of Congress and the eleventh most vulnerable Republican by National Journal’s initial 2024 House Power Rankings.

Just last week, Schweikert voted to shut down the federal government and ban access to the safe and affordable abortion medication mifepristone.

Schweikert – an extremist – has been caught several times this year deceiving Arizonans about his record in Congress.

• Schweikert celebrated a solar project developed in his district that was made possible by the Inflation Reduction Act – despite voting against the law and deriding it as “Orwellian.” 

• Schweikert urged Arizona’s veterans to sign up for benefits made possible by the bipartisan Honoring Our PACT Act – despite voting against the legislation twice.

• Schweikert says he has a “fixation” on how diabetes has affected the United States – despite voting against legislation to cap the cost of insulin at $35/month.

• Schweikert says Congress must make difficult cuts to funding for Social Security and Medicare – despite representing over 165,000 Arizona seniors.
