Tenney Pocketed Over $170,000 From Special Interests, Sold Her Votes
The DCCC launched a new ad today in New York’s 22nd Congressional District. “Sold” highlights Claudia Tenney’s modus operandi: when big corporations pay Claudia, Claudia pays ‘em back.
Claudia Tenney is bought and paid for. Throughout her career, Tenney has pocketed over $170,000 from the insurance industry and voted to gut critical protections for Upstaters with pre-existing conditions. She even voted for the 2017 tax bill giving big corporations billions in tax breaks at the expense of Upstate families and Social Security and Medicare.
“Claudia Tenney consistently put special interests and her wealthy donors ahead of her constituents in Upstate New York,” said DCCC Spokesperson Christine Bennett. “When big corporations paid, Tenney paid them back by voting to give them billions in tax breaks. Claudia Tenney sold us out.”
