New DCCC Billboard in IA-01 Declares Mariannette Miller-Meeks “The Congresswoman Who Stole Health Care”

DCCC calls out vulnerable Republican Mariannette Miller-Meeks ahead of the holidays for the GOP health care crisis

The DCCC is launching a new billboard campaign holding vulnerable Republican Mariannette Miller-Meeks accountable for soaring health insurance costs being unleashed on hardworking Iowans ahead of the holiday season.

For months, Miller-Meeks has done nothing to address the rising costs Iowans are facing. Instead, she has repeatedly opposed extending ACA tax credits, lied about their impact, and downplayed the fallout of premium increases on Iowans. Polling consistently shows Americans want the tax credits extended and that Republicans will be blamed if they expire.

REMINDERMiller-Meeks also cast a key vote for Trump’s Big, Ugly Law, which included the largest cut to Medicaid in American history to fund massive tax breaks for billionaires. The law is “expected to ravage rural hospitals” which “are at risk of closing or cutting services” due to Medicaid cuts Miller-Meeks enthusiastically supported.

DCCC Spokesperson Katie Smith:
“Mariannette Miller-Meeks is going full ‘grinch’ with cruel cuts to health care and her refusal to deliver lower costs for hardworking Iowans. The Republican health care crisis and the skyrocketing costs Miller-Meeks ushered in will be the defining issue in Iowa’s first district ahead of the 2026 midterms, and the DCCC will hold Miller-Meeks accountable for helping create it.”
