New DCCC Billboard in IA-03 Declares Zach Nunn “The Congressman Who Stole Health Care”

DCCC calls out vulnerable Republican Zach Nunn ahead of the holidays for the GOP health care crisis

The DCCC is launching a new billboard campaign holding vulnerable Republican Zach Nunn accountable for soaring health insurance costs being unleashed on hardworking Iowans ahead of the holiday season.

For months, Nunn has done nothing to address the rising costs Iowans are facing and has refused to sign on to a common-sense proposal to extend the ACA tax credits for three years. Just weeks ago, Nunn claimed that the tax credits “[have] been driving up the health-care costs for everybody” and agreed with a TV host who said he had “no problem letting those [credits] expire.”

Polling consistently shows Americans want the tax credits extended and that Republicans will be blamed if they expire.

REMINDER: Nunn also cast a key vote for Trump’s Big, Ugly Law, which included the largest cut to Medicaid in American history to fund massive tax breaks for billionaires. The law is “expected to ravage rural hospitals” which are “are at risk of closing or cutting services” due to Medicaid cuts Nunn enthusiastically supported.

DCCC Spokesperson Katie Smith:
“Zach Nunn is going full ‘grinch’ with cruel cuts to health care and his refusal to deliver lower costs for hardworking Iowans. The Republican health care crisis and the skyrocketing costs Nunn ushered in will be the defining issue in Iowa’s third district ahead of the 2026 midterms, and the DCCC will hold Nunn accountable for helping create it.”
