| Today, the DCCC is launching a new billboard campaign holding vulnerable Republican Jen Kiggans accountable for soaring health care costs being unleashed on hardworking Virginians ahead of the holiday season.
For months, Kiggans has made empty promises to extend the Affordable Care Act tax credits, but has refused to sign on to a common-sense proposal to extend the credits for three years. Polling consistently shows Americans want the tax credits extended and that Republicans will be blamed if they expire.
REMINDER: Kiggans also cast a key vote for Trump’s so-called “Big Beautiful Bill” which included the largest cut to Medicaid in American history to fund massive tax breaks for billionaires. Hospitals, nursing homes, and community-based health clinics are at-risk of shutting down thanks to these cuts, with some already announcing their closure.
