The digital ad campaign targets GOP-held districts that heavily rely on SNAP
After voters sent a strong message last night that they are ready to hold Republicans accountable, the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee is announcing a new national four-figure ad buy calling out vulnerable House Republicans who refused to fund critical SNAP benefits Americans rely on to feed their families. Thanks to Republicans’ cruelty, food aid will now be delayed and be just half of what people normally receive – meaning less food for kids, seniors, and hardworking Americans.
The national digital campaign, targeting key Latino, Black, and AANHPI battleground voters, will run in seven critical offensive districts that significantly rely on SNAP benefits to put food on their tables:
CA-22
TX-15
MI-04
MI-10
NE-02
PA-10
VA-02
REMINDER: House Republicans already voted for the largest cuts to SNAP in history earlier this year as part of their Big, Ugly Bill.
The digital ads begin running this week on YouTube in English and Spanish. They come on the heels of the DCCC’s national ad campaign last week targeting voters in all 35 of the DCCC’s Districts in Play, blasting vulnerable House Republicans for creating massive price hikes for health care.
DCCC Spokesperson Nebeyatt Betre:
“Republicans won’t stop ripping food away from kids, seniors, and hard working parents who are already struggling to keep food in their fridges. On top of gutting SNAP benefits earlier this year, vulnerable House Republicans have refused to lift a finger as their constituents have less food at home ahead of the holidays. The DCCC is making sure voters know how cruel Republicans’ agenda really is.”
