Evans to face Manny Rutinel, who grew up on Medicaid and understands how higher costs are squeezing families
Today, the DCCC launched a new digital ad campaign that holds Gabe Evans accountable for breaking his promise to lower health care costs. The ads, which are the DCCC’s first general election ads against Evans, will run on Facebook and Instagram and target registered voters in Colorado’s Eighth Congressional District as part of a five figure buy.
Unlike Evans, Manny Rutinel understands the challenges working Coloradans are going through. The son of an immigrant, single mom, Manny grew up on Medicaid and knows how crucial the program is to the one in four people, including half of all kids, in Colorado’s Eighth District who rely on it.
DCCC Spokesperson Lindsay Reilly: “Gabe Evans sold out Coloradans to pay for tax cuts for billionaires, and the DCCC is making sure voters hear about his betrayal. Hundreds of thousands of Coloradans could lose their health care, at least twelve in-state hospitals could close, and virtually every Colorado family could see their health care bills go up because of Evans’ disastrous agenda. Evans is a disgrace, and voters will hold him accountable in 2026.”
