| In case you missed it, new DCCC polling shows Shannon Taylor locked in a statistical tie with Rob Wittman in Virginia’s 1st Congressional District.
The poll, first reported by Virginia Scope, finds the race is now a dead heat (Taylor 46% – Wittman 47%) as voters continue to sour on the nearly 20-year incumbent.
Another warning sign for Wittman: President Trump’s job approval has cratered in the district (37% approve / 55% disapprove).
DCCC Spokesperson Eli Cousin:
“Rob Wittman has spent nearly 20 years in Washington looking out for himself while Virginians pay the price, and now his real record is finally catching up to him. The more Virginians learn about Wittman’s corruption and cost-spiking votes, the more eager they are to vote him out in November.”
