NEW DCCC TV AD in NY-22: Tenney Horror Show: She’s Baaaack

First DCCC TV Ad in NY-22 Reminds Voters That The Tenney Horror Show Cost Them Big Time

Today, the DCCC released a new TV ad reminding voters of what they already know: Claudia Tenney (Spectrum-22) is bad for Upstate New York. The ad begins airing today.

Look Who’s Back,” airing beginning September 1st, reminds voters that Claudia Tenney is bought and paid for by Spectrum Cable and we can’t afford to send her back to Washington to continue her horror show of putting special interests ahead of her constituents.

Tenney voted for the GOP tax bill that disproportionately benefited big corporations, raising taxes on the middle class to cut taxes for the wealthy. Tenney has continued to tout her support for this devastating and unpopular bill in her 2020 campaign. And not only that, she also voted to allow telecommunications companies to use and sell consumers’ private data without their permission.

Claudia Tenney has received hundreds of thousands of dollars in contributions from special interests, including $15,000 from Charter-Spectrum, though she feigned ignorance in a recent interview when asked about her ties to Spectrum.

REMINDER: Charter’s profits surged due to a $9.3 billion benefit from the 2017 tax bill.

DCCC Spokesperson Christine Bennett released the following statement:

“Failed former Congresswoman Claudia Tenney did more for Spectrum in her brief time in office than she did for her constituents, and that’s why they booted her out of office two years ago. Tenney hasn’t changed, she’s still beholden to Spectrum and other special interests because they know they can count on her to vote their priorities first. Voters across the district haven’t forgotten who Claudia Tenney is, and they’ll reject her again come November.”
