Asked If Scott Taylor Wasn’t Under Investigation, Prosecutor Says ‘That’s Not True’
The saga into the petition-gate election fraud scandal that cost failed former Congressman Scott Taylor his seat continues.
Last night, John Beamer, the Roanoke Assistant Commonwealth’s Attorney told 13 News Now that investigations into Taylor’s campaign have not ended:
“13News Now reached out to the Roanoke Assistant Commonwealth’s Attorney John Beamer who was part of the prosecution in Lauren Creekmore Peabody’s case.
When asked if Scott Taylor wasn’t under investigation, Beamer said, ‘No, that’s not true. The entire campaign is under investigation.’
Beamer also said more indictments are still possible.”
Well. That settles that.
“Scott Taylor’s campaign remains under investigation after the campaign’s election fraud scheme was exposed in 2018,” said DCCC Spokesperson Christine Bennett. “Voters lost trust in Taylor and booted him out of office, and with more investigations, impending court dates, and the looming threat of more indictments, voters will reject Taylor once again.”
