NEW: GOP Rep. Scott Perry shared post from neo-Nazis who once claimed ‘Hitler was right’

A new report from Raw Story exposes Republican extremist Scott Perry for reposting racist content from a neo-Nazi on his own campaign account – which he still has not deleted.

The account Perry shared has “promoted pro-Nazi material, shared white nationalist propaganda, and attacked people for being Jewish,” including a video with “the words ‘Hitler was right.’”

DCCC Spokesperson Aidan Johnson:
“The only things Scott Perry brings to Central Pennsylvania are bigoted and harmful conspiracy theories. After years of perpetuating far-right extremism, Perry has proven that he is completely unfit to be a member of Congress.”

• Rep. Scott Perry (R-PA) was found to have shared a post from a British neo-Nazi account that praised Adolf Hitler and promoted the racist theory that migrants are replacing whites.

• Media Matters first reported that Perry re-posted a message from the “UltraDane” account on Facebook.

• “British citizens are receiving letters ‘asking’ to purchase their homes to house illegal migrant men only,” the post said. “Indigenous Brits are LITERALLY being replaced by foreign men. We are living in very dark times.”

• “I’m sure this is nothing to worry about,” Perry wrote sarcastically in the post on Feb. 20.

• At the time of publication, Perry’s post had not been removed.

• “If a Perry supporter saw the post and then followed that account, that person could now be seeing a stream of extremist content, as UltraDane spews white nationalist, antisemitic, and pro-Nazi rhetoric,” Media Matters noted.

• The media watchdog also published some examples of content from the UltraDane account.

• The group has repeatedly complained about “African invaders” and suggested “interracial marriage” was a plot to destroy Britain.

• In an April 4 post, UltraDane shared a video that included the words “Hitler was right,” Media Matters said.

• Perry was a key figure in Donald Trump’s attempt to overturn the results of the 2020 presidential election on Jan. 6, 2021.
