Donald Trump and House Republicans’ government shutdown has shuttered the Bureau of Labor Statistics, but new private data shows why they don’t want Americans to see the numbers.
According to the new analysis, the U.S. economy only added 17,000 jobs in September, one of the weakest months for hiring since the Great Recession. Other private reports confirm that losses are mounting across key industries.
DCCC Spokesperson Aidan Johnson:
“Donald Trump knew the September jobs report was going to be brutal, which is why he’s trying to cover it up. He broke the economy and is leaving working people to clean up the mess.”
