NEW: John Duarte Ranked Among Most Vulnerable Members of Congress

Duarte Listed #5 on Roll Call’s Most Vulnerable List

One year out from the 2024 elections, Roll Call’s recent most vulnerable list placed John Duarte as the country’s 5th most vulnerable House member. The reasons are clear: Duarte’s 2022 margin was less than 600 votes, and he’s followed up that performance by…

  • Falling in line and voting for Trump-endorsed extremists Jim Jordan and Mike Johnson for Speaker.

  • Voting against reproductive freedoms in favor of anti-choice legislation despite the vast majority of Californians believing in preserving access to abortion.

  • Passing legislation that would increase the federal deficit by $114 billion over the next decade and make it easier for the rich to cheat taxes.

  • Voting with Marjorie Taylor Greene 81% of the time, bragging in an interview that he’s “not that far from a lot of these Freedom Caucus guys.”

  • Supporting devastating cuts to law enforcement, education, Social Security access, and small businesses in the MAGA Republican failed continuing resolution.

DCCC Spokesperson Dan Gottlieb:
“Californians want a representative focused on growing the middle class and delivering for Central Valley families — and unfortunately, John Duarte has shown that’s his last priority. Instead, Duarte has voted to reject bipartisanship, restrict abortion access, and slash critical programs Americans depend on, and voters won’t forget it next November.”
