If his long record of support for cutting Medicare, Medicaid, and Social Security didn’t make it clear, Kevin Coughlin just officially confirmed: he’d vote YES for the GOP tax scam that guts Medicaid and raises costs for middle class Ohioans to pay for tax breaks for billionaires.
Coughlin supports the plan that:
- Jeopardizes health care coverage for tens of thousands of people across OH-13.
- Endangers Northeast Ohio’s economy and the 30,000 jobs across hospital systems – the district’s largest employer – like Aultman, Summa, and Mercy Medical, that depend on Medicaid payments to operate.
- Risks food assistance for the more than 45,500 OH-13 households (over 44% of which have children) that depend on the Supplemental Nutritional Assistance Program (SNAP).
- Will cause the poorest 10% of Americans to see their household resources reduced, while the richest will see their resources increase.
DCCC Spokesperson Katie Smith:
“Proven loser Kevin Coughlin would vote to kick Ohioans off their health care, take food off their tables, and raise their costs – all so he could fund tax breaks for his billionaire buddies. Northeastern Ohioans already rejected his dangerous agenda once, and they’ll do it again next November.”
