NEW KFF POLL: Health Care Costs Are The American People’s Number One Concern

House Democrats passed extension of ACA tax credits despite Republican attempts to block vote

A new poll from KFF finds that health care costs top the list of public concerns and that majorities of Democrats, independents, and Republicans say it will affect their midterm vote. An overwhelming majority say their cost of living has increased in the past year under the Republican trifecta.

75% of voters say the cost of health care will impact their midterm vote, including 78% of independents.

A majority of independents say the expiration of ACA tax credits will impact their midterm vote.
DCCC Spokesperson Liam Buckley:
“Trump and House Republicans are taking a wrecking ball to our health care system, raising costs for monthly premiums and putting an even heavier strain on hardworking families struggling to get by. Voters know it’s Republicans who are responsible for this chaos and will hold them accountable in November.”
