| As the president’s approval ratings continue to plummet in historic fashion and drag down once-safe Republican Members of Congress into newly competitive territory, MAGA Inc. is dropping hundreds of millions of dollars, burning cash in Anna Paulina Luna’s race for FL-13, following the same move in Republican districts across the country.
Republicans hoped their gerrymander would save Luna’s re-election campaign from becoming a real contest, but they failed. Race raters at Inside Elections, Cook Political Report, Decision Desk HQ, and Fox News have now moved Florida’s 13th District in Retired Brigadier General Leela Gray’s direction, and the most recent poll showed Gray with a one-point lead. USA Today also highlighted Gray as a candidate within striking distance in “deep red territory.”

Now, she’s running to her MAGA party bosses for a million-dollar bail out in a final act of sheer desperation. Unfortunately for her, Pinellas and Pasco voters don’t want a Congresswoman more focused on advancing her own self-interests and an aimless agenda of chasing conspiracy theories. All the momentum is with Leela Gray, and Luna will have to continue these pursuits as a private citizen starting in January.” |
