NEW: Messy Mike’s Potential Primary Opponent

On Tuesday, Roll Call declared Mike Lawler as one of the most vulnerable House members in the country. On Tuesday night, Lawler led Rockland County’s GOP to losses. Fast forward to Thursday, and William Maloney, a former Trump staffer, is “seriously considering” primarying Messy Mike.

News flash: Mike Lawler is running for re-election on a record that’s completely out of touch in his Biden-won district. In Congress, Lawler has: 

• Voted to cut military aid for Israel by 30%.

• Voted to restrict abortion nationally for servicemembers and their families.

• Voted to protect criminally-indicted Santos and knowingly stall his expulsion.

• Voted to repeal the Inflation Reduction Act’s clean energy initiatives – even as they led to job-creating investment in New York.

• Endorsed a virulent antisemite for the local county legislature.
