New reporting from New York Playbook reveals that alleged abuser Max Miller’s leadership PAC has been a “prolific financial supporter” of Mike Lawler, sending Lawler’s campaign $10,000 in this cycle alone. Lawler is the sole New York Republican to accept funds from Miller this cycle and has received an additional $7,000 from him in previous years.
Lawler and Miller’s relationship is also a two-way street, with Lawler’s own leadership PAC giving Miller $5,000.
The kicker? When asked if Lawler was planning to return the donation from Miller, “his campaign told Playbook there are no plans to do so” — the latest sign that Lawler is bending the knee to Trump’s wishes “not to wage a public pressure campaign against [Miller].”
