After gettingcaught misleading Iowans in an attempt to hide her anti-abortion record, Mariannette Miller-Meeks is yet again supporting dangerous attacks on reproductive freedom.
Miller-Meeks’ latest attack would allow the federal government to fund so-called “crisis pregnancy centers” – misleading centers that front as medical clinics but in reality are led by anti-choice groups that attempt to coerce and manipulate pregnant women seeking care.
This is just the latest step in Miller-Meeks’ anti-choice crusade; she co-sponsored a national abortion ban with no exceptions for rape, incest, or the woman’s life.
After Iowa politicians passed “the most restrictive” abortion ban in the country and are now trying to put a measure on the ballot that would eliminate the constitutional right to an abortion, Miller-Meeks is leading the charge at the federal level to take away Iowans’ right to make their own health care decisions.
