Two Polls in Two Weeks, Making It Three Polls In Nearly as Many Months Showing Kathleen Williams Tied Against Maryland Matt Rosendale
A new poll from Public Policy Polling shows a highly competitive race for Congress between Kathleen Williams and failed Republican retread Maryland Matt Rosendale, with Williams and Rosendale tied: 44-44.
This is the second time in as many weeks where public polling shows Kathleen Williams tied against Rosendale and it’s the third time since March where the race for Montana’s sole Congressional seat has been tied.
In today’s poll, Rosendale’s flagging favorability was again a major indicator as to Montanans’ eagerness to reject another bid from Rosendale for Federal office. This time Rosendale is underwater by 6 points, while Kathleen Williams is viewed positively among Montanans by 4 points.
Statement from DCCC Spokesperson Andy Orellana:
“With Maryland Matt Rosendale limping through the GOP Primary in June and being damaged goods after multiple failed bids for office, it’s clear Montana’s voters know and plain don’t like the out of touch Maryland real estate developer for higher office. His record of cutting health care, turning his back on veterans, and not protecting Montana’s public lands while courting big corporate money into Montana’s politics have been rejected before and will be rejected again in November.”
