NEW: National Journal 2024 House Power Rankings Names CA-13 Top 5 Race In the Country

Duarte is ranked #3 most vulnerable Republican in the country
“In one of the final races called last year, Duarte skated by Democratic state Assemblyman Adam Gray by less than a point in a district Biden carried by double digits. Gray is back again, and strategists in both parties say Duarte faces a tough road to reelection in a presidential year, and with a potential Democrat-on-Democrat Senate race topping the ticket.”

The National Journal’s 2024 House Power Rankings listed California’s 13th Congressional District as one of the top five most competitive races in the country. The House Power Rankings comes on the heels of Roll Call and Cook Political ranking Duarte as one of the most vulnerable Congressmen in 2024.

This comes as no surprise, considering vulnerable California Republican John Duarte voted for devastating cuts to critical services included in MAGA Republicans’ failed Friday C.R.,  backtracked on campaign promises when he voted to restrict abortion nationally for servicemembers and their families, and said he was “not that far from a lot of these Freedom Caucus guys.”

“John Duarte is one of the most vulnerable Republicans in the country for a good reason – and Californians are going to hold him accountable at the ballot box next year.”
