The National Journal’s 2024 House Power Rankings listed California’s 27th Congressional District as one of the top five most competitive races in the country. The House Power Rankings come after Roll Call and Cook Political ranked Garcia as one of the most vulnerable Congressmen in 2024.
This comes as no surprise, considering vulnerable California Republican Mike Garcia voted for devastating cuts to critical services included in MAGA Republicans’ failed Friday C.R., cosponsored legislation to ban abortion without exceptions for rape, incest, and life of the mother, and voted against certifying the 2020 election, even after rioters stormed the Capitol in a deadly insurrection.

“Mike Garcia is one of the most vulnerable Republicans in the country for a good reason – and Californians are going to hold him accountable at the ballot box next year.”
